1.Simulation Laboratory

(SIMstation)

This is basically a miniature of a real hospital, including working equipment. It also comes with very authentic mannequins that are controlled from the 'hospital' control centre, which not only can talk, but can also, for example, simulate all possible medical conditions accurately. There may be standard rooms, a nurses' station, an intensive care unit, a fully equipped delivery room and a room with a rescue car for training paramedics. Cameras capture all the action in all the rooms, and students and lecturers can then break down the whole event second by second in the briefing room, specially designed for this purpose.

2.Motion tracking and analysis laboratory

(MOCAP)

The lab uses the Vicon system. The patient, wearing special reflex sensors, moves along a track and is followed by special tracking cameras that record the movement. The recorded movement is converted into a mathematical model that represents the different parts of the extremities as lines that form different angles according to the position of the joints. Thanks to the perfect recordings of the patient's walk, it is possible to carry out much more detailed analyses of the disorders. Special cameras capture the scene in the infrared. The cameras separate only the reflective points on the patient from the scene, with an accuracy of one hundredth of a millimetre. A huge amount of data is pre-processed directly on the camera before it is sent to the main computer to create the model of the patient. The scanning chips of these cameras are also unique.

3.3D/AR/VR laboratory

The space is practically equipped with a set of synchronous active projectors and a tracking system for virtual aids and 3D headset of the participants. One participant with active headset moves in the space and each projectors' 3D view adapts to his/her current position and view. The overall impression is that the scene fully surrounds him (he is immersed in the space). Using virtual wireless aids, the user can manipulate selected 3D objects of the scene and perform annotation of virtual 3D objects, cut them and virtually measure. Multiple participants can move in the CAVE, but only the one wearing the headset with the tracking target (the tracked object on the headset) has an ideal view of the scene. The software corresponds to the described purposes, i.e. each projector contains a software system for displaying the 3D scene (rendering node), which is synchronized and controlled by a central software on the master computer (master node).

4.Language laboratory

There is a significant difference between learning a foreign language at school and using it in practice. The most important thing for learning a language is to speak it. A modern digital multimedia lab will make language learning very intensive and effective. Each student has a headset with a microphone and a computer. They can have conversations and work with audio recordings as well as video, text, etc. A portfolio of prepared textbooks and support materials with many automatically evaluating exercises saves the teacher time. The SmartClass system prepares and distributes regular and extra-curricular language activities in maximum quality to students' devices, digitally managing, monitoring, storing and evaluating them on the teacher's computer. The system operates with high quality audio and video transmission, which is essential for language learning.
