The projector projects the image from the connected PC to the interactive whiteboard. Touch control is ensured using technology in the interactive whiteboard. It is important that such a projector does not dazzle students and teachers who are standing at the board. Therefore, projectors with a very short (sometimes ultra-short) projection distance, referred to as UST, are used. The projector is placed on the wall above the whiteboard or on a pylon carriage at a distance of approx. 50 cm. Other important parameters are brightness (today most often in the range of 3500–4200 lm) and image resolution (today most often WXGA = 1280×800 pixels and FullHD 1920x1080 pixels).
An interactive projector is a projector with a very short projection distance (UST), where the projected image can be controlled by touching with a special pen or finger. Interactive projectors are most often based on projectors for whiteboards, and therefore also copy the brightness parameters (3500–4200 lm) and image resolution (WXGA = 1280×800 pixels and FullHD 1920×1080 pixels).
The third option is projecting an image from a PC without touch control. In this case, the projector projects the image onto the projection screen and is usually placed on a bracket under the ceiling of the classroom, or near the back wall. If it is a large auditorium, it can also be in a separate projection room. When projecting onto a projection screen, several parameters need to be considered – the size of the screen, the amount of light in the room and any dimming, but also the location of the projector in the room with respect to the projector lens.
